    2008-04-11 Alumni Website Progress:

    Some update information on the Photos
    I almost got all of the Photos Transferred
    Now there are 21+ Photo Albums http://picasaweb.google.com/maryvalepanthers/ .
    Over 150 Panther Tracks pages from 84-88,
    Sorry I can't remember who sent them to me.

    2008-04-11 Alumni Website Progress:

    Have setup/moved 17+ Photo Albums http://picasaweb.google.com/maryvalepanthers/ .

    I have updated the links page with link to Google maps to see Maryvale High School .
     They have a Street 360 view as  though you are standing in the street, you can make it go up and own the street.
     I'd say go look at your old house but they only did the main streets so far.  Most views are less than a year old.

   2008-04-05 Alumni Website Progress:

   Set up a set of Photo albums at Picasa.com click here to see them.

   Yahoo photos closed Photo bucket to limited the others where limited for storage space.
   But with Picasa it's over 1gig I will be setting up more album and moving others to Picasa.
   that way they will be mostly in one place.
   And I just had a thought (scary right?) it will be a good place now that I have the extra space
   scans of the PANTHER TRACKS.  ;)

   2008-02-11 Alumni Website Progress:

   Made some menu updates I saw that I had Fight Song button in the main menu 2 times DUH!
   You got to sent me and email when you find stuff like that PLEASE!

   Made a Site Map page helps if someone gets lost.
   And you have to give something juicy for the Web Spiders to crawl on.  
   Guess it comes under my "Goal and Objectives" ( To give Maryvale Alumni Association a web presence ).

  There is a Stats page for the website Stats for 2005-2007

  And for the Panther Talk for the last 4-7 months on an average of 3-6 new people register each month.

   2008-01-04 Alumni Website Progress:

   Made a Flash Banner for the main page it cam out good I only have it growl one time on loading the page having sound
   and or music on a page is annoying.
   So it only on loading if you refresh you will be loading it again and hear it again also when you click on
   any of the HOME links to get back to it

   Also working on flash file for some of the other pages like the one above but with no sound.

   2007-10-06 Alumni Website Progress:

Disabled the right click on Photo pages and all memorial pages to stop copying from site pages.
It is not fool proof but will stop most from copying photos and graphics.
To see how it works just right click on this page.

For now I will not say which class website prompted this action.

2007-05-05 Alumni Website Progress:

I have changed the formatting of the memorial pages so that they are easier to read.

Also for the Panther talk after setting change activating  "Anti-Robot Registration"
that seems to have stopped the spam registrations.

As the Admin I' am up to the challenge of keeping the Penis Enlargement ads away from the women,
the Breast Enlargement ads away from the men, and the porn spam away from the Nuns.

The site is being given a new look over all there is a new updated message board Panther Talk!
Message Board  it looks like it will work out great and has a lot of features!

2005-06-05 Alumni Website Progress:

Information on updates If you find something that is outdated let me know what it is and what the updated information is that needs to be posted.
Be specific I will need the URL of the page it is on and what it needs to be changed to.  I try to keep the site updated with the information that is provided.
Anyone can send a request HERE of what they would like to see on this site it is for the MHS Alumni. It may or may not be added to the site if it is appropriate for the site there will be space for it.
Sending me an email like the one below is of NO HELP and I await to find out what they are referring to.

I have been working with Melody Baker on many updated postings for the memorial and the reunion pages. And any other small changes that need to be made when I find out about them.

P.S. I have learned to be more tolerant of "GP's"
 

2004-11-05 Alumni Website Progress:

Replaced the Memoriam menu with this pull down menu.
Please let me know if there are any problems with it  It has been updated

Broke down some of of the years so that there are less years to a single page to help with load time.

2004-11-05 Alumni Website Progress:

The website is getting a new Home and has been relocated there and will be moved again to a another server in a few weeks.

There will be some combining of menus and changes to the look of the site over all.

The focus will be more to the Maryvale Alumni Association and should be easier to find thinks

2003-11-19 BA/Alumni Website Progress:

Sorry this is the bad news about the Message board in the move on Oct. 19 to the new server the tracking for the message board got reset the result was that the messages start doubling up  that was the reason for the 2 subject/comments lines.
I had to rebuild it from the start sorry for the lost messages. :(

The good side of the move is that changes like this will not have to happen. any more in its new home.
I am still working on correcting bad links within the Alumni site if you find any please let me know.

2003-11-16 BA/Alumni Website Progress:

Hosting/servers have been changed but you will still get there using the
http://www.maryvalepanthers.com URL.

If you have saved some pages directly in your Favorites/Bookmarks you may have to update them.

The Alumni site will now basic be one site the Alumni site with the BA as a major component

Some links on some pages are not working and I have been checking them and correcting them as I find they if you find a link that is NOT WORKING please let me know.

2003-07-04 BA Website Progress:

Still have to add photos

Will be adding separate paypal info just for ordering the cookbook check out the cover.

2003-02-26 BA Website Progress:

Added a POPUP with the graphic from the flier and fire works to the mail page to run till the 22nd only days now

2003-01-30 BA Website Progress:
Updated info for scanning information to help get more pages scanned from yearbooks.

We appreciate all the help with scanning in photos from the year books it is a BIG HELP and we Thank You very much.

Note: I use PaperPort software for scanning if you use the same you can just rename the MAX file in PaperPort with the year-page# (71-page-200.max) and email Guy F the MAX file it self.
MAX files scanned in at BW-200-300dpi are about 5. to 1meg Color-200-300dpi  are about 1 to 1.4meg. For these photos I can easily work with Color or BW at 200-300dpi.

2003-01-30 BA Website Progress:

Added minutes for Jan 25 meeting and Recipe form  to download page in DOC/PDF/ZIP formats the zip has both DOC/PDF files this will be done for all docs. I will add info on the right click thingy.

I have been asked about and update to the 2002-BA sponsor info  but I have not been given the new sponsor docs for the 2003-BA I would like to recommend that there be  Generic info for the sponsor page it's self then referenced to the download page for that specific years documentation 

If you have something that needs to be updated on the site send it to me/Guy not the Spam list. I post what is send after I check it out and found to be valid. And have posted info that I have gathered through the spam list. But I know the Spam list is no the official rout for BA information.

The BA only forum is being Terminated to help some that get confused having two forum/message boards.

At the April 14th meeting for someone surfing the internet at work was Concerned over inappropriate content on website. Not on BA site but in other links or chats. Guy will look into links.

I can report that there is no porn type links on the BA site. Sorry!! If you should find any send me the URL (for research purposes of course) and tell me exactly what was clicked on that got you there.
As far as the Forum Chats go I have no control as to what URL's are placed in the messages. I can only recommend that if you are concerned as to there content DO NOT click on them.
There is a place users can place links on the LINKS page. and I monitor those entries.

2002-02-16 BA Website Progress Report:

This will be implemented after the BA. The Memorial page is coming along fine it getting close to 200 photos posted so far. Some have come from Lauren (Spano) Kirby, and Melody Baker has some others scanning in and she is forwarding them to me to post and some have come from the families too. I am getting ready to create 3 separate pages for it because it is just too big of a page for dialup connections it is estimated at 4-6 minutes to load.

There is now a page for the T-shirts sale info.

There is now a page for the sponsors (one so far Wienerschnitzel ) I have sent an email to the owner to see if he can send me some photos of the construction to add as a news item (it will help has advertisements for both the next BA and there grand opening).

The newest of the pages is the Time Capsule Information Page although I know it is unrealistic to think they will let us dig it up this year maybe next year or after that. The main thing is everyone like a treasure hunt and it dose have to be found first be for any plans can be made to dig it up. And now it is thought that there may be more than one time capsule, so I see that page growing with more info as we get it. I have put two maps on the site one is from 1963 (Mindy) & 2001 using the 700 building has a reference and overlaying the maps. (it is cool)

Future for the pages:
Memorabilia page: NEW, will need many photos and stories of the items.
Memorial booth page: NEW, will be a new page added to the memorial page section again will need many photos and stories of the items.
Basketball: UPDATE game info will need a sports story of the game, names of players and info on any special plays in the game.
Panther Tracks page: NEW will have to get info from LeeAnn on that can be a posting of the BA issue and/or a download.
Performance page: UPDATE will need all the photos, names and stories of the items and also a story line of the play would be good to post. Also any critics articles that may be in the news papers so keep your eyes open for those.

Although I have been able to keep the site updated from watching the emails and I am getting better at knowing what needs to be posted any of the committee chairs can send me info they need to have posted for the better of the BA. This "" marker is for Hmmm no picture yea that's right no picture. I only have photos from the senior photos in the year books at this time. With this new layout there is room for up to 3 photos and 5 short 37 character lines of text next to each photo. If the family has there own website for there lost one I can also add an active hyper link to at website.

2001-10-20 BA Website Progress Report:

	DONE: One goal was to put the site in a location that will be easier to access. In working with Dave Kelley on site hosting details it has been moved. It was at www.tripod.com.(www.maryvalepanthers.com)
	It can be arranged now for committees to work on there own pages if they need to and the pages have a lot of content that require constant maintenance. Get will me on the details on how to do that this will. At tripod.com that was not feasible.
	Paula & Gene Tague has offered to help with proof reading the BA site. She would like to have the web site ready for sponsors to look at as soon as possible. I can make changes quickly, so if there is any info, spelling or grammar to be corrected or changed send the text and or information or photos to me explaining in detail of what needs to be changed. Just being a “grammar cop” is of no help to the BA site any way.
	I still want to have the info on the contact-us page kept up to date. I have heard from some of the committee heads that have reviewed the description on the contactus page and updated the description of there committees and add the people that are helping them
	Another goal is to start adding a list of names to the memorial pages. They will be listed by class year then alphabetically. The details will not be listed but possibly if requested an email link to family, or the family may have there a memorial site of there own for that panther. I have been working with Melody Baker to get a list to add to the page that I have up now.

Great News with Dave Kelley's help "Big help" The BA site has a new home and it's transition has been very smooth you will have to update you Bookmarks or Favorites for the new location

Here's a funny email I got from geocities that's were I have been keeping the Panther Tracks

       I would like to make it possible to have any of the committees able to work on there own pages if they need to, at tripod.com that is not feasible.

       On the guest book, I turned off the private option in the guest book. If someone wants to say, something privately there is a ton of email references on the site. They can just send the message to the person directly.

       I can make changes quickly, I'd say within about 24hr's, so if there is any info, spelling or grammar to be corrected or changed send the text and or information or photos to me explaining in detail of what needs to be changed. If I can please get the committee heads to review the description on the contact-us page and update the description of your committee.
Next is to have for the progress pages of each committee a paragraph or two of goals and objectives for your committee. In addition, a list of people and email addresses for contacting them if they want to be.

       Another goal is to creating the progress page of each committee. For your committee this info will be like a press release of basic information and or photos or drawings on the committee’s progress and or any pleas for help on any particular segment of there project.

       Another goal is to start creating the memorial pages.
I will have to get with Debbie Jarrel Vine and have her let me know what is to go on the memorial pages.
